Todd McShay: Cowboys go quarterback in second round

It’s been widely speculated that the Dallas Cowboys will find their future replacement for 35-year old starting quarterback Tony Romo in next month’s NFL Draft. Although many have predicted the Cowboys will do so with the fourth overall selection, Dallas’ owner and general manager Jerry Jones has reportedly shot down that idea.

Whether Jones’ remarks are a smokescreen or not, the Cowboys have so many needs it’s conceivable the organization feels they can address the quarterback position later in the draft.

And ESPN Draft guru Todd McShay agrees. In fact, in his latest two-round mock draft, McShay believes the Cowboys will draft a quarterback in the second round instead.
