One of the side effects of a fairly consistent voting record is that it has left your trusty correspondent vulnerable to jury duty. Either that or someone downtown has it in for me.
Anyway, service on a half dozen or so juries has provided invaluable insight into our criminal justice system. Also, the lovely wife and I watch a lot of Law & Order.
The upside of this sort of background is that it's proven helpful when writing about the Cowboys. At any given time, you can find one or more at various stages of our legal system.
