Report: Not “a lot of optimism” for the Dallas Cowboys and Dak Prescott to get a long-term deal done

We have reached one of the most important weeks of the offseason for the Dallas Cowboys, some would argue one of the most important weeks in a few years, as this Wednesday is officially the deadline that the team has to land a long-term contract with Dak Prescott.

Since being drafted by the Cowboys in 2016 we have seen Prescott quarterback this team to high highs, including a playoff victory in 2018, but there have also been multiple seasons in which the team did not make the playoffs. Some attribute the team’s lack of success to the franchise’s former head coach in Jason Garrett, but in the world of contract negotiations all factors are fair game.
