Report: Maurice Linguist going to University of Michigan after one season with Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys have adjusted their coaching staff on defense this offseason. After a disastrous first year under defensive coordinator Mike Nolan, they said goodbye to him and found former Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn as a replacement.

One of the people that the team interviewed for their defensive coordinator position was actually Joe Whitt Jr., who wound up on staff anyway. The Cowboys hired Whitt as the team’s secondary coach and defensive passing game coordinator to work with Dan Quinn.

It goes without saying that if the Cowboys found a new coach for their secondary that the old one would likely not be returning.
