OXNARD, Calif. – Randy Gregory didn’t get a good vibe from Jason Garrett the first time the Cowboys head coach sat down with the standout pass rusher out of Nebraska.
During a predraft visit, Garrett questioned Gregory’s grit and toughness.
“He pretty much said I wasn’t tough,” Gregory said. “That was pretty much within like the first 10 minutes of meeting him. In my head, I’m like, ‘You’re telling me I’m not tough. You’re crazy. I know I’m tough. I’m playing this sport.’
“That’s probably the biggest thing is him telling me I didn’t have enough grit and all this other stuff.
