OC Scott Linehan explains why Cowboys threw three incomplete passes on goal-to-go plays Sunday

FRISCO - Cowboys offensive coordinator Scott Linehan isn't worried about what everyone on social media thought about his red zone play-calls in the first quarter Sunday against the Giants.

The Cowboys had 1st-and-goal from the 3-yard line and never handed the football to the league's reigning rushing champion Ezekiel Elliott. Instead, Dak Prescott threw three consecutive incompletions while trying to hit receiver Dez Bryant each time. The Cowboys had to settle for a field goal.

On 2nd-and-goal, Bryant was open on a slant route and Prescott overthrew the pass in the end zone.
