FRISCO, Texas – Miles Austin doesn’t carry an official title in the Dallas Cowboys’ scouting department. He’s not a full-time scout, but he reports to work every day, just as a he did as a player for the club from 2006-13.
Austin last played in the NFL in 2015 for the Philadelphia Eagles. With his playing career done, he returned to the team that gave him his start, the Cowboys, like how Andre Gurode and Josh Brent have done. They are learning the scouting craft from the ground up.
Austin played in two Pro Bowls.
