FRISCO -- When news began to surface Thursday evening that defensive tackle Maliek Collins had broken his left foot, the need to sign free agent tackle Terrell McClain increased.
McClain visited the Cowboys on Wednesday and Thursday, however, the former Cowboy signed with the Atlanta Falcons on Friday.
Meanwhile, Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Collins is expected to be out "three months or so" after fracturing the fifth metatarsal while taking part in a drill at The Star on Thursday.
"Hopefully he'll be ready at some point in training camp," Garrett added. "The biggest thing he has to do is make sure he does whatever the doctors tell him to do.
