Like Michael Phelps, Jason Witten wants to prove age is meaningless

OXNARD, Calif. -- Jason Witten wanted to get something off his chest the other day.

It seems people were wondering whether the Dallas Cowboys' tight end, who turned 34 in May, is slowing down after he averaged just 9.3 yards per catch last year.

In a one-on-one drill against Byron Jones, Witten pushed up the field, got into Jones just a little bit, took two or three strides to his left and then broke sharply back to his right to create separation from the Cowboys' 23-year-old safety for an easy completion from Tony Romo.
