IRVING, Texas -- In 2012, the Dallas Cowboys did not have Kellen Moore on their draft board.
He will be their starting quarterback Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.
The first time Cowboys coach Jason Garrett saw Moore up close was at the 2012 Senior Bowl.
Garrett knew about Moore’s college career. Everybody did.
He went 50-3 at Boise State. He threw 142 touchdown passes, which is second most in Football Bowl Subdivision history. His 14,667 passing yards rank fifth.
But that week in Mobile, Alabama, was all about what Moore couldn’t do among those in attendance.
