Joe Looney on Jim Grobe: Baylor's 'getting a great coach'

IRVING, Texas – Nobody knows how Jim Grobe will do in his new role as Baylor’s interim football coach, but two Dallas Cowboys know about Grobe.

Linebacker Kyle Wilber and offensive lineman Joe Looney played for Grobe at Wake Forest.

Grobe was hired as Art Briles replacement at Baylor as the school searches its way out of scandal. Grobe came to Baylor in part because of his affinity for Grant Teaff, the legendary Baylor coach and the executive director emeritus of the American Football Coaches Association. Grobe was the chairman of the AFCA’s ethics committee for eight years.
