Jeff Heath following Barry Church's career path

FRISCO, Texas -- In 2010, Barry Church was an undrafted free agent out of Toledo who made the Dallas Cowboys’ roster mostly for his special teams ability. By 2012, he earned the confidence of the coaches to move into a starting role at safety.

That season was cut short because of a torn Achilles, but from 2012-16, he started every game he played and had four straight seasons with more than 100 tackles, according to the coaches’ count.
