Jason Witten's return to football is more about the Cowboys' weird approach to every offseason than anything else

I was just preparing to write a column about how Nowitzki needs to find a way to let Mavericks fans know that he actually is retiring before playing his last few home games, not so much for them but for him, when thoughts along those lines were derailed by the Jason Witten comeback train pulling into town Thursday.
