ARLINGTON — Around this time last year, many were predicting doom and gloom for the Cowboys. Head coach Jason Garrett remembers this well because he was planted firmly on the hot seat as speculation about his job status persisted.
“We were probably regarded as a bottom-five, bottom-10 team in the league,” the Garrett said. “One of the best things our team last year is we defined ourselves.”
The result? The Cowboys far exceeded expectations , going 12-4, winning the NFC East crown and advancing to the divisional round of the playoffs.
That success has raised the bar for the Cowboys.
