OXNARD, Calif. — Even though Tony Romo is the Cowboys’ most prized asset and has had a slew of recent back injuries, head coach Jason Garrett claims the team hasn’t formulated a training camp practice plan for the 35-year-old quarterback.
“Yeah, just like with any player, we’ll monitor those guys day by day,” Garrett said. “Tony did a really good job this offseason, he practiced virtually in all of the OTAs — some days were more full than others — and we’ll just kind of watch him.”
Last year, with Romo recovering from surgery to repair a herniated disk, Romo never participated in more than two consecutive practices during the preseason.
