Is Jerry Jones close to giving Jason Garrett a contract extension?

While responding to a tweet about Jason Garrett on Monday, DallasCowboys.com columnist Jeff Sullivan tweeted, "Sounds like another extension could be signed soon he's not going anywhere."

Garrett is under contract as Cowboys head coach through the 2019 season. He signed a five-year, $30 million extension in January 2015.

Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones was asked during his Tuesday morning radio appearance about a potential extension for Garrett in the near future.

"I don't know where Jeff is getting his information," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan's Shan and RJ show [KRLD-FM]. "He's pulling one out of the air there as far as any knowledge.
