One of the biggest headlines about the Dallas Cowboys this offseason have been about ongoing contract negotiations with All-Pro wide recevier Dez Bryant. With the July 15th deadline looming, both parties are hoping to avoid relying on the team’s franchise tag this season rather than locking in the Pro Bowler long term.
According to Mike Fisher of CowboysHQ.com, fans of America’s Team might have a reason to start getting excited soon. The award-winning newspaper journalist recently reported that a deal is nearly done between the Cowboys and Bryant’s representatives, according to unconfirmed sources.
“…sources tell me (Bryant’s) wait is almost over…” Fish wrote in an article that appeared on the CBS DFW site Thursday.
