How the Cowboys tight end group has completely changed the narrative in just one season

Coming into the 2020 season, the tight end spot was seen as one of the Cowboys’ weakest position groups. Dallas had newly re-signed Blake Jarwin as their starter. Despite getting a long-term contract, Jarwin was inexperienced. The 26-year-old had caught just 58 passes in his NFL career and found the end zone only six times.

Behind Jarwin was former fourth-round pick Dalton Schultz, and veteran Blake Bell. In their entire careers, the trio of Jarwin, Schultz, and Bell combined had caught just 109 passes coming into 2020. Bell and Schultz had never scored a single regular-season touchdown.

It’s safe to say there was some uncertainty at the position, to say the least.
