Film room: 3 forgotten Cowboys who could still make the 53-man roster this season

Humans value novelty in almost all aspects of their life, including football, and more specifically: the Dallas Cowboys.

The nature of NFL rosters, which start with 90 players before being whittled down to 53 with a 10-man practice squad just before the regular season begins, is that there is a ton of turnover from year-to-year. Whether it's rookies, free agents or players acquired in a trade, NFL teams are constantly bringing in new talent to replace departed players.

The Cowboys are no different. In 2018, the Cowboys Week 1 roster didn't have 24 players (eight starters) from the year before, meaning that 45 percent of Dallas' 53-man roster was made up of new faces.
