Early returns are in: Cowboys praise Amari Cooper, 'an intense listener' whose reputation precedes him

FRISCO -- More than a week remains until Amari Cooper takes the field for the Cowboys for the first time, Nov. 5 on Monday Night Football. But it's been crunch time for his Cowboys conversion practically since the Oakland Raiders pulled the wide receiver off the practice field Monday to tell him he'd been traded.

Consider this: After his whirlwind week, in which he arrived at The Star, moved into a locker two seats from quarterback Dak Prescott, practiced twice and started cramming on his new offense, he needed to return to the Bay Area. Receivers coach Sanjay Lal, fortuitously, had plans to travel there as well to visit his parents during the bye week.
