IRVING, Texas -- As the Dallas Cowboys ponder what to do with the fourth overall pick in next month's draft, two selections from the 2014 and '15 drafts can impact the direction they want to go.
In 2014, the Cowboys made a trade to select DeMarcus Lawrence with the 34th overall pick because they saw him as the last of the pro-ready right defensive ends in the draft.
In 2015, the Cowboys took Byron Jones with the 27th overall pick in the first round with the initial idea being he would play cornerback with a possible switch to safety in the future.
