Dallas Cowboys sign a former 2016 third rounder at safety

Boise State South. That’s the term some call the Dallas Cowboys in light of the number of former players that reside on the roster from the Idaho-based university.

That list of alum includes defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, 2018 first round selection linebacker Leighton Vander Esch, defensive tackle Tyrone Crawford, 2018 sixth round selection wide receiver Cedrick Wilson, and former backup quarterback turned QB coach Kellen Moore.

Now you can add another name to that growing Boise State alumni list. On Tuesday, the Cowboys signed former 2016 third-round selection, safety Darian Thompson onto their active roster off the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad.
