Less than two months ago the Dallas Cowboys shocked plenty of people around the National Football League when they signed defensive end Aldon Smith. Shocked is putting it mildly.
Smith was once a fearsome pass-rusher for the San Francisco 49ers, but hasn’t played in the NFL since 2015 due to an indefinite suspension. His road back to the NFL has been a long one.
The thing about Smith’s journey is that it remained a bit to-be-determined as he needed to be officially reinstated by the National Football League. People have used the word “if” a lot when referring to his future with the Cowboys, but on Wednesday that future became all the more clear.
