Dallas Cowboys defensive back Chidobe Awuzie wore an all-black outfit to the 2017 NFL Draft. He arrived on day one ready for interviews and photographs. His parents were next to him. The night was suppose to be big for him and his family.
But the first-round talent out of Colorado left that night without a team. Awuzie didn’t come back the next day.
After selecting defensive end Taco Charlton with the 28th overall pick, the Dallas Cowboys grabbed Awuzie in the second round.
Before landing with the Cowboys, 16 defensive backs went before him.
