Only the New York Jets (1986), Cleveland Browns (1988), Carolina Panthers (21 years) and Detroit Lions (87 years) have longer streaks of ineptitude. Carolina and Detroit have never had consecutive seasons with double-digit wins.
The Cowboys will attempt to end this streak for the sixth time since 1996.
The streak has spanned five coaches, from Barry Switzer to Jason Garrett. Wade Phillips had two opportunities to end the streak and failed both times.
