OXNARD, Calif. – A St. Louis Rams receiver brought a picture to give to Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten on Monday before the two teams held a joint practice.
For Witten, it was a special moment.
At 5-8 and only 180 pounds, Rams receiver Daniel Rodriguez might not look like much on an NFL field. But his past tells another story.
Rodriguez served a 12-month tour in Afghanistan and one of 60 Americans who fought in the Battle of Kamdesh on Oct. 3, 2009. Eight Americans died and 22 others were wounded. Rodriguez was one of the Americans injured.
