Cowboys star avoids disaster after going down with scary Week 7 injury

It's a sad state of affairs when allowing 341 yards and 22 points is viewed as a solid defensive outing, but that's just where things are right now for the Dallas Cowboys, who forced a season-high two turnovers, including a pick-six from DaRon Bland, in Sunday's 44-22 win over the Washington Commanders.

The possession following Bland's touchdown didn't go particularly well for the Dallas defense, as the Commanders put together a seven-play, 53-yard drive that resulted in a 3-yard touchdown run from Chris Rodriguez Jr. with 2:35 remaining in the third quarter. The touchdown itself didn't really matter at that point, as the Cowboys still held a commanding 41-22 lead after Matt Gay tacked on the extra point.
