It is the subject that will not go away. At some point this offseason we are likely going to see the Dallas Cowboys and quarterback Dak Prescott come to terms on a contract extension. That is the first assumption.
This extension will in all likelihood make Dak Prescott the highest-paid player in NFL history. This is the second, and more difficult, assumption.
It is important to note that as things stand Prescott is set to enter the final year of his contract with the team that he has a no-trade clause, so they cannot move on from him in that capacity, and he cannot be franchise tagged next offseason.
