OXNARD, Calif. -- Since 2001, the Dallas Cowboys have largely called Oxnard, California, their summer home.
They have had stops in San Antonio for a few training camps, but the lure of the cooler temperatures, grass fields and proximity to Los Angeles has made this Jerry Jones' preferred destination.
Until this year, however, the Cowboys did not have to contend with another NFL team in the region. After a 20-plus year absence, the Rams are back in Los Angeles and in the spring they called the River Ridge practice fields their home.
Executive vice president Stephen Jones said he is not worried about divided loyalties pulling fan interest away from the Cowboys' camp.
