After losing Devin Harper to waivers, the Dallas Cowboys needed to make a move.
The Cowboys move was reported on social media by ESPN.com’s Todd Archer, while the Giants move was reported by the NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and confirmed by Pugh.
The Cowboys are adding LB Mikel Jones to the practice squad after a workout Tuesday. Fills the spot created when C Brock Hoffman was signed to the 53-man roster and fills need with loss of LB Devin Harper off waivers. Was in camp with the Chargers.

Archer reported that Jones worked out with Dallas on Tuesday.
