Cowboys hiring George Edwards for defensive role that could be bigger than just linebackers

Mike McCarthy and the Dallas Cowboys are just about done filling out the coaching staff for 2020. The staff is heavy on experience and guys who have been either head coaches or coordinators and they just inked another one.

George Edwards is joining Cowboys staff and will work with linebackers. Role will be larger than that, per source

This fits right in with hiring experienced guys who are respected around the league. Edwards has been the Vikings defensive coordinator since 2014, working under former Cowboys assistant coach Mike Zimmer.
