The Dallas Cowboys, for financial reasons, parted ways with former first-round pick Ezekiel Elliott before the 2023 campaign and gave the reigns to Tony Pollard. With the latter now with the Tennessee Titans and the Cowboys not drafting a running back last week, they brought back the former 2016 first-round pick after he spent last season with the New England Patriots.
With Elliott entering his ninth season, and not quite being the player he used to be, many had to be wondering at what cost his deal would come at for Dallas.
