Whether a team avoids a devastating injury is often a key measuring stick for a successful training camp.
The Dallas Cowboys have managed to avoid that so far, though they did endure a scare to starting right tackle Terence Steele. Steele was diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain, but he was surprisingly back at practice on Sunday, albeit in a limited capacity.
That is a great sign, but the injury bug struck again on Sunday when breakout tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford went down with an apparent leg injury after getting rolled up on a run play.
Spann-Ford needed assistance as he limped to the tent for further evaluation, per Joseph Hoyt of the Dallas Morning News.
