Cowboys Complete Draft Class By Signing Cornerback Jourdan Lewis

FRISCO, Texas – The Cowboys signed cornerback Jourdan Lewis to his rookie contract on Thursday, bringing their full 2017 draft class into the fold.

The signing comes almost two months after the rest of the Cowboys’ rookies signed on. There was a bit of a delay in inking Lewis, as mechanisms in the contract negotiations make things a bit tricky for third-round picks. Last year’s third-round pick, Maliek Collins, signed after a similar delay last summer.

The Cowboys now have their full allotment of nine draft picks under contract as they prepare for training camp. The rest of this draft class – defensive end Taco Charlton, cornerback Chidobe Awuzie, wide receiver Ryan Switzer, safety Xavier Woods, cornerback Marquez White, and defensive linemen Joey Ivie and Jordan Carrell – signed on back on May 11, at the outset of the rookie minicamp.
