The Cowboys have a two-game cushion for the best record in the NFC East at the season's midway point.
They also have a 1 ½-game lead for the best record in the NFC.
And the Cowboys are at least three games better than where I thought they'd be at this point of the season with a rookie quarterback.
I'll be the first to admit I never saw this coming. The Cowboys have a Top 5 offense, a Top 10 defense, two players in MVP contention and the chance to seize the top seed in the NFC this postseason.
