Cowboys believe selecting Ezekiel Elliott will help a defense that still needs attention in this draft

IRVING -- The Cowboys did indeed stay put with the fourth overall pick Thursday night and selected Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott.

The pick became obvious a few minutes before the Cowboys went on the clock, with running backs coach Gary Brown joining the team's front office in the war room.
