IRVING, Texas -- Byron Jones is looking at his second straight start at cornerback Thursday against the Carolina Panthers, with Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones saying on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas on Tuesday that Morris Claiborne is likely out because of a hamstring injury.
In last week’s win against the Miami Dolphins, Jones gave up a 47-yard catch and a 29-yard touchdown.
“I gave up two big plays. That’s something as a DB you can’t do,” Jones said. “I was reminded by how small the margin of error out there at cornerback is, but yeah, you can’t give up those two big plays.
