The only reason the Dallas Cowboys have any hope this season is because Dak Prescott is playing out of his mind, and the offense is virtually unstoppable. With Prescott on his third contract and approaching his mid-30s, the Cowboys are only going to get so many more bites at the proverbial apple.
It would be franchise malpractice to waste an offense with this much firepower. In other words, Jerry Jones and the front office need to push the envelope before the Nov. 4 trade deadline to acquire some defensive reinforcements.
Well, if the latest rumor is true, Jones is prepared to do exactly that.
