Awaiting MRI results, Tony Romo's return to team drills 'a little further down road'

FRISCO, Texas -- Before the Dallas Cowboys can definitively answer questions at quarterback in the coming weeks, Tony Romo needs to be cleared for practice.

Romo was scheduled to have an MRI on Monday but coach Jason Garrett said Romo's involvement in team drills, "seems a little further down the road," and not this week.

After the Cowboys play the Green Bay Packers Sunday, they have their bye week. The expectation has been that Romo would be available to play Oct. 30 against the Philadelphia Eagles or Nov. 6 against the Cleveland Browns after suffering a compression fracture in his back on Aug.
