After Guillain-Barre syndrome sidelined him in 2018, Travis Frederick makes NFL return in Cowboys' preseason opener

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The last time Cowboys center Travis Frederick played in a NFL game was Dec. 31, 2017. That day the Cowboys defeated the Eagles, 6-0, and so much has happened to Frederick since. He missed the 2018 season with Guillain-Barre syndrome, an autoimmune disorder, to which there is no cure. Frederick has not only recovered from the disorder but also underwent surgery to his shoulder and abdominal area in the offseason.
