1. Jerry Jones generates headlines with the best of 'em

In hindsight, the Cowboys owner may want to remove a certain word from his vocabulary - absurd. That's a word he used Tuesday in saying that he does not believe enough evidence exists to claim that there is an established link between football and degenerative brain disease. Jones' comments, which he attempted to clarify the next day, resulted in a New York Daily News headline declaring Jones to be "BRAIN DEAD". Dallas Morning News columnist Kevin Sherrington wrote it's bad enough when Jones plays general manager, worse when he plays doctor.
