The Cowboys have plenty of needs before free agency, with defense being among the most important. The Cowboys have several free agents at DT and CB and the current players haven’t played that well to begin with.

Javon Kinlaw is the Cowboys’ first round pick in this 2020 NFL Mock Draft and he provides instant help at the defensive tackle spot. The Cowboys also need pass rush help and that’s where Wake Forest’s Carlos Basham comes in.
Bryce Hall is the classic Cowboys Round 2 pick. Injured but very talented player who helps at CB. Tom’s favorite pick is S Antoine Winfield, who gives the Cowboys a play-maker on defense.
Offense isn’t ignored, although the Cowboys wait until late to add help. Kentucky WR Lynn Bowden could be a Randall Cobb replacement, while Adam Trautman could be the tight end of the future.
