Cowboys Rumors: Eric Berry Interest, Dak Prescott At $34 Million, Randall Cobb And Cut Rico Gathers?

Dallas Cowboys Rumors focus on conflicting reports surrounding the Cowboys’ interest in free agent safety Eric Berry, if Dak Prescott could get $34 million per year on his contract extension, if the Cowboys should cut Rico Gathers and who wowed at minicamp and OTAs. There is also Cowboys news on Taco Charlton possibly returning and the backup QB spot.

The Cowboys looked hard into adding safeties this year, but only signed George Iloka and drafted Donovan Wilson late in the NFL Draft. Eric Berry is still unsigned, so could the Cowboys add him? There are conflicting reports on the level of Cowboys’ interest, but Cowboys Report host Tom Downey is here to breakdown what to believe.

Dak Prescott is set to get a huge contract extension, but just how large? Could it reach $34 million? If Prescott were to get hurt, how bad is the Cowboys’ backup QB situation? Could Cooper Rush or Mike White handle that role, or do the Cowboys need another option? Randall Cobb clicked quickly with Dak, but was he the biggest standout at Cowboys’ minicamp?

Taco Charlton missed minicamp and OTAs with an injury, but the latest Cowboys news says he should be back for training camp. And finally, Rico Gathers was suspended for 1 game by the NFL due to an old arrest for marijuana. But is it time to cut him already?

The video is from the Cowboys Report, a Facebook live show and a video podcast on iTunes. All of these videos can also be found on the new Cowboys channel, Cowboys Report on YouTube
