Cowboys rumors had focused on a possible move to safety for Chidobe Awuzie. However, Awuzie said today that won’t be the case in 2020. He’s expecting to remain a corner.

Cowboys injury updates include notes on La’el Collins, Dontari Poe and Connor Williams. Collins remains out with what McCarthy calls a “minor injury.” Williams is able to participate in practice, but Poe isn’t quite ready to go yet. Plus, where are Cam Erving and Brandon Knight.
The Cowboys defense was vanilla last year. Early reports from training camp are that this won’t be an issue in 2020. Although the exact scheme will be kept under wraps, it will be a more multiple defense. Also, Aldon Smith is getting hyped right now.
