Cowboys Free Agency Rumors Roundup: Cowboys Not Interested In Manziel, Weddle Decision Looming

NFL Free Agency is officially here, and the next few days will feature several Dallas Cowboys rumors. The Cowboys have already made several big moves and might not be done yet. With that in mind, here are a few of the more interesting rumors and news tidbits on the Cowboys.

Eric Weddle to make decision on Monday
Chargers safety Weddle is perhaps the biggest free agent left on the market, and the Cowboys are one of the four teams that are strongly pursuing him - and they won't have much more time to make an impression on him. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Weddle  plans to make a decision on Monday.

The Panthers, Raiders, and Steelers are all also pursuing Weddle.

Cowboys aren't interested in Manziel
The Browns officially released quarterback Johnny Manziel yesterday, and while there was some feeling during the season that there was mutual interest between him and the Cowboys, there seems to be no chance of him playing for Dallas this season. Via the Dallas Morning News' David Moore.

The Cowboys have been given a second chance to take Johnny Manziel.

They will decline.

A source said the club has no intention of bringing the former Heisman Trophy winner in for a visit or signing him now that he's been released by Cleveland. That same source said the Cowboys won't pursue the quarterback and doesn't forsee the club having any serious discussions about him, "until he gets his life back in order.''

Manziel appeared in 14 games over the last two years for the Browns, passing for 1,500 yards, seven touchdowns, and five interceptions in nine games during the 2015 season.
