Cowboys DL David Irving Under Investigation For Domestic Violence

Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman David Irving is under investigation by police after violence allegations were made by his then-girlfriend. The investigation comes after Irving's twitter account was hacked by his ex-girlfriend and she accused him of domestic violence this morning.

According to WFAA, Frisco police are investigating Irving for "Assault-Bodily Injury, Unlawful Restraint, & Assault-Impeding Breath and Circulation." The allegations were reported yesterday at 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. by his girlfriend, according to police. That's before Irving's twitter was hacked by his ex-girlfriend.

Several screenshots of those tweets are below. His girlfriend accuses him of smoking weed and abusing here.

Irving has claimed she freaked out after he dumped her for cheating on him. Irving claimed she hacked his Twitter, Facebook and iCloud after stealing one of his old phones.

Irving was charged with domestic violence while at Iowa State, but those charges were dropped. Irving appears to have claimed the woman from this incident is the same one from Iowa State.

"As y'all can clearly see," Irving wrote on Twitter. She has her hair lol. She did this exact same thing at Iowa State. I call the cops, but being dark, and we'll huge, I'm always the one who's in trouble. She's a MmA fighter, bad attitude, and she uses my position against me."

Irving was limited to eight games this year because of injuries and a suspension for PEDs, but was incredible while on the field. He recorded 7 sacks in his limited playing time. The Cowboys placed a second round tender on Irving, who has been vocal about his desire to cash in on a bigger contract.

This is a developing story. Refresh for updates.
