The crowd at AT&T Stadium fell silent on Monday night after quarterback Tony Romo took a sack in the opening minutes of the second half of the team's game against the Washington Redskins.

As reported by Eric Edholm of Yahoo! Sports, "Romo remained down on the field for several minutes after being sacked by Washington Redskins linebacker Keenan Robinson, who appeared to unintentionally knee Romo in his back. In the past two years, Romo has had two surgical procedures on his back."

It was the Redskins' fourth sack of the night, leading to Romo being taken to the locker room by the team's trainer and medical staff.

Backup QB Brandon Weeden replaced Romo, seeing his first action of the 2014 NFL season.
