Cowboys News: Rod Marinelli the reason free agent Terrell McClain joined Cowboys?

In Cowboys news today, one of the Dallas Cowboys' biggest signings of this offseason had a really good reason for wanting to come to the Big D.

Per the Dallas Morning News (with special thanks to ProFootballRumors.com), new Cowboys defensive lineman Terrell McClain was asked about what the big factors were in him signing with the Cowboys. Cowboys defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli topped the list:

“It factored in a lot. He actually came down to my pro day and actually did the drills at my pro day three years ago when I was coming out of college, so I had a chance to talk to him. He was telling me all about himself. He’s a great guy, a great coach and I’m really fortunate to be able to be coached by him the next three years.”

McClain was also asked about what he thought the biggest difference between playing in Houston (he was a member of the Texans last year) and Dallas will be: “I think the biggest thing is probably going to be the media. It is America’s team. There’s going to more pressure on that part of it, being surrounded by cameras and what not, but the market is going to be excellent."

Hopefully it will be "excellent" for McClain and Dallas Cowboys fans alike.
