Wolves 2-0 Crystal Palace: Daniel Podence and Jonny strike to send Wolves to sixth in the Premier League and keep slender hopes of Champions League qualification alive

Joao Moutinho produced a moment of artistic brilliance to light up a dull game and keep Wolves on target for another season of European football.

The Portuguese playmaker’s delightful chip shortly before half-time unlocked the Crystal Palace back line, allowing Matt Doherty to set up a simple headed goal for 5ft 5ins Daniel Podence, the smallest player on the field.

Jonny doubled the lead midway through the second half, ensuring Wolves – who are still involved in this season’s Europa League – will be certain of qualifying for the 2020/21 version if they win at Chelsea on Sunday.
