Ray Lewington assesses Palace’s home ability before Premier League start

Crystal Palace assistant manager Ray Lewington reflected on his side’s loss against Hertha Berlin this afternoon, admitting that the Bundesliga opposition "were good” and focussing on the coming week Palace have to “put it right.”

Following the clash, however, Lewington was asked about what it’s like for the team to play at Selhurst so regularly and while he struggled to give a definitive answer as to why the side fare worse in SE25 compared with their travels on the road, found great praise for the south London faithful and famed home of the Eagles.

“You try and win every match,” he said.
